This is what a real President looks like.

Donald Trump’s handling of the deadly coronavirus has been widely panned while the world watched the volatile stock market, and unemployment numbers soar. Trump, who has been president for three years now, even blasted former President Barack Obama over the testing for the pandemic. In 2018, it was the Trump administration, though, that fired the government’s entire pandemic response chain of command. Trump killed the pandemic response system because it was established during the Obama administration. When Trump wasn’t taking COVID-19 seriously in early March, Obama was.

Trump has been busy tweeting insults at his rivals instead of soothing the public’s concerns over the virus. The former reality show star did send out a tweet in early March, obviously concerned about how the current situation will affect his chances of being reelected. Of course, Trump didn’t back up the claim in his tweet with a link.

Barack Obama fired off a tweet that’s in stark contrast to President PawPaw’s.

“Protect yourself and your community from coronavirus with common-sense precautions: wash your hands, stay home when sick and listen to the @CDCgov and local health authorities,” Obama tweeted. “Save the masks for health care workers. Let’s stay calm, listen to the experts, and follow the science.”

Americans were relieved to see a real leader’s comforting tweet.

Six years ago, Trump took to Twitter to repeatedly ridicule Obama’s handling of a major health crisis, Ebola. Then the former reality show star got into office and dismantled the pandemic response team his predecessor left behind. We need leadership, not a Twitter troll who has been elevated to the highest seat in the land.
