Trump likes to behave as though the mountain of allegations and criminal charges raging against him are just… No big deal to him. However, one Never-Trump attorney and former close Trump insider is telling a much different story when it comes to Donald’s reaction to the details of his alleged extra-marital affairs going public.

George Conway, who was married to one of Donald’s closest advisors, Kellyanne Conway, throughout Trump’s term in the White House, recently sat for an interview with MSNBC where he told a passing tale of Donald Trump making a desperate call to his eldest daughter Ivanka, wanting to know whether she and other allies of his were watching the bombshell CNN Anderson Cooper interview with former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal, where she spilled all the dirty details of her alleged 15-month affair with Donald Trump.

According to Conway, his recollection of that phone call actually showcases just how terrified Trump was about his darkest, dirtiest secrets going public in the news cycle.

McDougal is one of two women involved in the hush money trial that’s currently underway against former President Trump in Manhattan, where District Attorney Alvin Bragg has charged him with illegal campaign finances and falsifying business records in connection to payments that were made to McDougal and the infamous former adult film star Stormy Daniels during Donald’s 2016 presidential campaign, in an effort to buy the women’s silence about their affairs with the then-presidential candidate, so as to protect the campaign he would go on to win.

Stormy Daniels was given the infamous check by Donald’s then-personal attorney and self-described “fixer” Michael Cohen, who went on to do jail time over the incident, while McDougal was provided with a contract from David Pecker, a very close friend of Donald Trump and CEO of AMI, the parent company of the National Enquirer.

Speaking with George Conway during their recent interview, MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace said, “There is a vantage point where you have — where you sort of had maybe more intimate knowledge to what Trump was seeking to keep hidden as a candidate in that transition period before you became one of the loudest voices warning us,” before asking the former close Trump insider just how bad the affair stories really affected the now ex-president.

“I think it is pretty bad. I think he was very concerned about it,” Conway said of Donald Trump. “I’ll tell a story I haven’t told too publicly before: I remember that evening when Anderson Cooper interviewed McDougal. I was sitting at dinner with my ex-wife, Jared and Ivanka Trump, and the phone rang.”

“She went into the kitchen and answered the phone. ‘Oh! It’s Daddy!’ And what did he want to know? Whether they were watching Karen McDougal,” Conway went on to recall, “So, he was very, very concerned about it.”
