Today, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held what will likely serve as her final press briefing as Speaker of the House of Representatives, as the Republican Party prepares to take over next month following their razor-thin win in the midterm elections.
Pelosi, who has been through a lot of personal strife lately after he husband was recently brutally and violently attacked and assaulted in their California home by a deranged conspiracy theorist, opened her historic and rather sentimental press conference by speaking on some of her accomplishments throughout her time as Speaker:
Passing the American rescue plan, getting vaccines at arms, money in pockets, children back to school and people safely back to work, the bipartisan infrastructure law, building roads, bridges, ports and water systems… Bringing people together, not projects that divide communities but bringing people together, and this such a source of pride, putting justice and equity front and center.”
Speaker Pelosi is slated to leave her position in the US House of Representatives at the beginning of next month and this particular press briefing served as her final weekly press conference, though she did not rule out speaking to the press again between now and her departure, should something big or newsworthy take place in that period of time.
Butin the midst of her final briefing as House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi did not pass up the chance to take one of her most brutal, perfectly placed, thinly-veiled shots at the single worst president she has ever served under.

While it was a simple, short, and to-the-point jab at scandal-ridden Donald Trump, it couldn’t have been more perfect if she tried, in the end. And I fully guarantee that Trump’s ego is absolutely shattering as we speak.
