On Thursday morning, Donald Trump launched an attack on Twitter to target House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but the president’s unprovoked rage-fest didn’t end there. Nearly thirty-one thousand Americans have died from the COVID-19 pandemic, and that number is quickly climbing. Unemployment numbers are through the roof as Americans self-quarantine to flatten the coronavirus curve. Trump’s inability to act quickly when he first learned of a looming pandemic leaves this president with blood all over his hands.
So, of course, Trump took to Twitter to criticize Pelosi, and it appears that the former reality show star thinks Chinatown is part of China. It’s difficult to say for sure when reading an Adderall-addled, pee-stained, mook’s tweets.
“Crazy Nancy Pelosi deleted this from her Twitter account,” Trump falsely said. “She wanted everyone to pack into Chinatown long after I closed the BORDER TO CHINA. Based on her statement, she is responsible for many deaths. She’s an incompetent, third-rate politician!”
Drew Hammill, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Nancy Pelosi, promptly jumped in on Twitter to correct Donald.

At that time, there wasn’t a lockdown in place, and America did not and still does not have a leader in the White House to guide this country during the pandemic that has brought the United States to a standstill. Nancy Pelosi is not the president, unfortunately, but apparently Trump thinks she is. The geographically-challenged president can try to shift the blame, but that’s not how this works.
Trump was busy holding his ego-rallies and golfing at about the same time Pelosi was in Chinatown. Meanwhile, Trump is eager to open the economy again, even though it would mean certain death for countless Americans. The “me, me, me” president puts himself front and center to seek adoration while people are dying. And he did it again with his attacks on Pelosi today. It’s all about him.
