Ex-President Donald Trump has unsurprisingly done everything within his (extremely limited) power to push back on the January 6th House Select Committee’s investigation into the infamous, deadly Capitol attack, and Trump’s specific role in inciting the violence on that fateful day.

However, Donald’s successor, President Joe Biden, is making it crystal clear that he is doing everything within his power, as the leader of this nation, to make sure that Donald Trump is held accountable for what he’s done.

According to a bombshell report from the Washington Post, President Biden dealt what we believe is the most brutal blow he’s delivered to his predecessor to date when he slapped down Trump’s ridiculous claims of executive privilege and personally ensured that the January 6th panel will receive an absolute windfall of documents and potential evidence hailing from the Trump White House — to the tune of a staggering 23,000 pieces of potential evidence and records against the ex-president.

“President Biden has authorized the National Archives and Records Administration to hand over an eighth tranche of presidential records from the Trump White House to the House committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol,” The Washington Post reports. “The National Archives has already turned over hundreds of pages of documents to the committee, and the latest set contains approximately 23,000 emails and attachments.”

The January 6th House Select Committee is slated to receive this treasure trove of documents and records from the National Archives no later than May 26th, just a handful of weeks before the highly-anticipated public hearings are set to begin on June 9th.

“It’s unclear what documents exactly will be included in the eighth batch of documents, but Trump has tried to assert privilege over daily presidential diaries, schedules, drafts of speeches, remarks, and correspondence concerning the events of Jan. 6 as well as the files of his top advisers and lawyers, according to a review of court documents,” the Post writes.

Trump has spent months now publicly railing against what he’s so childishly dubbed the “Unselect Committee” and their investigation into the happenings on January 6th, 2021, and the days leading up to the attack.

Back in a September statement, the ex-president fumed, “We will fight the Subpoenas on Executive Privilege and other grounds, for the good of our Country, while we wait to find out whether or not Subpoenas will be sent out to Antifa and BLM for the death and destruction they have caused in tearing apart our Democrat-run cities throughout America. Hopefully, the Unselect Committee will be calling witnesses on the Rigged Presidential Election of 2020, which is the primary reason that hundreds of thousands of people went to Washington, D.C. in the first place.”

Donald Trump continues to spout his Big Lie election conspiracy theories, regularly claiming that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him right under our noses through mass, country-wide voter fraud. However, Trump and his people have been lodging lawsuits and “investigations” into the matter since the very moment he realized that he lost to Joe Biden, and has yet to come up with a single piece of evidence to support his claims.

A spokesperson for the January 6th Committee spoke with the Washington Post regarding this newest development and said the panel has “conducted nearly 995 depositions and interviews, received 125,000 documents, and has followed 470 tips received through the committee’s tip line.”
