Report Claims Trump Is Discussing Doing MAGA Rallies Again As He Tries To Remain Prevalent In Politics

There’s a list as long as my arm of things that I do not miss from the Trump administration — the bigotry and racism, the humiliating public events, the peculiar press briefings, and the Godforsaken tweets, just to name a few. But if I had to name one single thing that I’m absolutely overfilled with joy at the prospect of never having to suffer through again, it’s those damn MAGA rallies. Or, at least, so I thought.

In my humble opinion, those God-awful rallies were one of the single worst parts of the Trump presidency, and not just because they were annoying. Donald Trump spent countless hours at these events, often multiple times a week when there were far more important things he should have been dealing with, spewing downright dangerous lies and conspiracy theories to his base of rabid, mouth-foaming supporters. If you ask me, it was four years of MAGA rallies that helped set the stage for the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol; Trump had been feeding these people a steady supply of Right-wing mad juice for an entire presidential term. To say the very least, I was not the slightest bit mad to see those equivalents of a cult meeting go the way of the DoDo bird.

But, all good things must come to an end, I guess.

According to a new report from CNN, ex-President Trump is now discussing the possibility of resuming his MAGA rallies as he scrambles to stay relevant on the political scene without the White House or a Twitter account to help him do that.

The report claims that Trump may even start holding events to campaign for the challengers of GOP candidates who he feels has criticized or wronged him in some way, such as Sen. Lisa Murkowski, one of the 7 GOP members of Congress who voted in favor of conviction in Trump impeachment trial regarding the Capitol riots, his second impeachment trial overall.

Trump, of course, held his own rallies all through 2020, even as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to rage from coast to coast, and only shut down his rally operation after his embarrassing loss to Joe Biden in November. But sources say he’s now looking to get back in the game.

“It will definitely be different in terms of the setup, but we got really good at planning these events in 2020, so we will probably use a lot of those same vendors again,” one Trump aide told CNN.

In addition to leaving the White House and stopping his rallies, Trump, of course, was permanently banned on Twitter as well, leaving him with little options to keep his voice heard in the world of politics. Reports have claimed that the former president has floated the idea of starting his own social media platform, but so far nothing of the sort has come to fruition and Trump has been getting his thoughts and grievances out via “official” statements from his newly established Office of Former President.

Aides to Trump say that his MAGA rallies could start up against as soon as May.
