President Joe Biden took a pointed and downright hilarious jab at his predecessor today, who he aptly dubbed “the last guy” during a speech in Washington D.C.

Earlier today, President Biden called the $2 trillion tax cut hailing from the former guy’s administration “just so outrageous” while addressing a conference of the North America Building Trades Unions, according to a report from The Independent.

“The last guy, what was his name? Anyway, the last guy,” Biden joked during the speech. “I forgot. He never showed up the inauguration.”

This quip, of course, garnered a rowdy round of laughter and cheers from the audience gathered to listen to the President’s speech.

Later in the speech, President Biden publicly acknowledged the New York Amazon workers who were recently successful in unionizing their company, with Biden telling the audience, “Amazon, here we come.”

Joe went on to publicly press Congress to pass the Pro Act, which would expand labor protections with regard to employees’ rights to organize and bargain their pay in a work environment, but the act has recently been stalled for some time.

Also during his speech, President Biden officially announced a new $20 billion investment in public transit systems across the country.

President Biden personally vowed to serve as the most pro-union president this country has ever seen when he was sworn into office in January of 2021, and he’s making good on that — with a few jokes and his predecessor’s expense.
