Donald Trump is likely to get impeached again today following the deadly insurrection at the Capitol that resulted in five deaths, including a police officer. At the “stop the steal” rally just before the riot broke out, Trump gave an incendiary speech, urging the crowd to march to the Capitol and demand legislators gathered to formally confirm President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory address his absolutely false claims of widespread voter fraud. The outgoing president urged his supporters to “show strength” and “fight much harder.” Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump Jr., and Rep. Mo Brooks also spoke ahead of the riot, urging the crowd to fight for the lame-duck president.
Donald Trump Jr., the outgoing, likely twice-impeached president’s oldest son, is under criminal investigation in the District of Columbia, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York said in a tweet.
Donald Trump Jr. is now under criminal investigation in the District of Columbia.
Keep the pressure on every single person who incited the violent attack on the Capitol.

Jeffries didn’t comment on what the investigation is about, but it appears to be about the Capitol riots. And with Junior, one has to be specific since he has been involved in quite a few misdeeds. As for Junior’s father, he will go down as the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice. At least five Republicans so far are backing the impeachment following the deadly outbreak at the Capitol, and we expect more and more to follow through as well.
Trump enjoyed the scene showing his supporters fighting for him, and he did very little to quell the violence. During the riot, Trump released a video statement and repeated false claims about the fraudulent election and said, “We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You’re very special.” In his final tweet of the night, he ended with these words: “Remember this day forever!”
Yeah, we will remember January 6th forever. The president has been de-platformed across the Internet for inciting violence. One man caused the chaos, destruction, death, and mayhem that we all witnessed. Donald Trump Jr. enabled him and egged on the crowd, whipping the outgoing president’s supporters into a frenzy.
