Report Claimed Mitch McConnell Refused To Meet With March Of Dimes Organization Even Though They Treated His Polio When He Was A Child

He's trash.

Since Donald Trump undeservedly took his place as president of the United States, we as a nation have witnessed a plethora of congressmen and women who we once thought were just your run-of-the-mill shitty Republicans truly bare their teeth with brazen confidence now that Donald Trump’s presidency has essentially given them a get out of jail free card for all of their worst transgressions.

What they once did in the dark, corruption in hiding so as not to tip off the public, they now do in broad daylight, proudly, thanks to a president that always almost assuredly is doing worse.

And when it comes to these congresspeople who have effectively gone from bad to atrocious, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is leading the pack.

Now don’t get me wrong, ol’ “Moscow” Mitch has never been a good person. Not before Trump’s presidency, certainly not during, and he won’t after the dust finally settles and America tries to heal itself either.

But he is certainly one of the most prominent ones to crank his piece of shit level all the way up to 11 once Donald got control.

He now openly and proudly refuses to take any action on some of the most important issues in this nation, including climate change and the epidemic that is gun violence in this country.

He has a stack of legislation from the House on his desk that he has absolutely no intention of passing as he continues to blame inaction on the Democrats and their impeachment proceedings against the president — falsely claiming that the “Do Nothing Dems” (as Trump is fond of calling them) aren’t getting anything done as a result of the formal inquiry.

The man is up to so much fuckery on a daily basis that it’s easy to forget some of his past atrocities — even if they are as sickening as they come.

It’s no secret that Mitch McConnell and his cohort of shitbag GOPers have been fighting tooth and nail to strip millions of Americans of their healthcare and essentially leave them to die as punishment for being poor — pretty much screaming from the rooftops that we don’t do handouts around these parts.

But what you may not know is, if it weren’t for those charitable “handouts” Senator Mitch McConnell likely wouldn’t be here to terrorize us all today.

Back in 1944, when Mitch was just 2-years-old, the man who would wind up a Senator years later contracted polio — a life-threatening disease that often left its victims paralyzed, unable to walk and some even unable to breathe on their own.

And that’s precisely what would’ve become of Mitch had it not been for the charity of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (NFIP), founded by FDR to treat polio. The NFIP funded the hospital in Warm Springs, Georgia where the would-be senator recovered and regained his ability to walk with very little lingering ill effects standing in his way of becoming a congressman.

Now, throughout McConnell’s mission to strip Americans of their healthcare, McConnell has downright refused to meet with many prominent groups and organizations looking to bend the senator’s ear regarding the negative effects his legislation would undoubtedly have on millions of people.

Among those that McConnell refused to speak with were American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the March of Dimes.

Shitty enough on its own, right?

But here’s the real kicker, folks.

The March of Dimes was not always called the March of Dimes. Back in the 1940s, they were called the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis.

Yea. The very same foundation that quite literally helped save Mitch McConnell’s life and gave him the ability to be the shitbag congressman that he is today.

And Mitch wouldn’t give them the time of day.
