Even after finally getting Donald Trump out of the White House, Americans still can’t seem to get away from the hefty bills the ex-president keeps dumping on us — sometimes quite literally.
According to a new HuffPost report, the American taxpayers have been sacked with yet another enormous bill hailing from the disgraced former president, this time for… Wait for it… Port-A-Potties.
Yes, you read that right.
According to the report, the Secret Service detail assigned to former President Donald Trump has set the American people back a startling $34,140 for the duration of Trump’s summer stay at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club. Apparently, the Secret Service is renting fancy portable bathroom trailers until the end of Trump’s New Jersey stay in September, per government procurement notices recently obtained and released by The Daily Beast. The overall cost of the high-quality portable toilets works out to around $8,500 per month or $283 per day. Yes, nearly $300 a day being spent on toilets for Secret Service protection for a man we’d just as soon never see again.

And we all know good and well that Donald Trump himself certainly isn’t footing that bill.
In fact, Donald’s greed is so deeply seated that he actually charged the Secret Service somewhere around $400 for the use of a room while he was “working” out of a converted bridal suite at his Mar-a-Lago resort right after leaving the White House, according to a report from the Washington Post.
Critics, of course, were quick to question the astronomical bathroom expenses.
Executive director of the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington watchdog, Noah Bookbinder, spoke with The Beast and said, “Even now, taxpayers continue to spend many thousands of dollars to facilitate Donald Trump’s businesses.”
“He is of course entitled to protection, but from the beginning, it has been about his advancement and convenience, rather than what is good for the country,” he added. “Forcing taxpayers to spend all of this money for porta potties at a business that surely has sufficient bathrooms is confounding.”

High-class toilets and fancy Mar-a-Lago rooms aren’t the only areas that the Trump family is getting the American taxpayers either. As of last month, all of Donald’s adult children were still receiving taxpayer-funded Secret Service protection.
In fact, in just the first month following Joe Biden’s inauguration, protection for the Trump family set the American people back around $140,000. As we’re all aware, one of Trump’s demands upon leaving the presidency was a six-month extension on their security detail.
But don’t worry, the Trump family was bleeding us dry while Donald was still in office too. Reports indicated that Secret Service agents were denied access to bathroom facilities in Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s home during Trump’s term and were instead forced to rent a nearby location for a staggering $3,000 a month.
