Republican Sen. Mitt Romney Allegedly Wears A Disguise Out In Public To Hide From Trump Supporters

The forthcoming book from New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns, This Will Not Pass, has proven to be chock full of astounding, hilarious, and unsettling new revelations about the corrupt, disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president — and that’s just from the excerpts we’ve been graced with thus far.

However, it’s not just Donald Trump who’s being exposed by the new tell-all.

According to Martin and Burns, anti-Trump Republican Senator Mitt Romney makes a habit out of wearing a disguise when he’s out in public, in an effort to hide from Trump’s supporters, after he voted in favor of Donald’s impeachment, and openly blamed the now-former president for the violent January 6th attack.

The Times reporters write that Romney wore a hat to shield his face while out to dinner with his wife Ann in Palm Beach as part of his effort to avoid harassment from the MAGA crowd.

Ann actually told the authors that Donald Trump’s death grip on the Republican party and the vitriol and hatred her husband has received from Donald’s supporters has left her worried that their five sons could never run for any form of a government office on a Republican ticket.

Romney has suffered through quite a few instances of harassment and attacks over his open criticism of the former guy, even being accosted in a Salt Lake City airport by one of Trump’s supporters when he was traveling to Washington the day before the infamous January 6th Capitol insurrection. He was met with chants of “traitor” by passengers on the plane and during his speech at last year’s state convention, he was mercilessly mocked and booed by Republicans in the crowd.

The Utah Senator was the sole Republican to vote in favor of Donald Trump’s first impeachment, over his infamous attempted extortion of Ukraine. He also voted in favor of Trump’s conviction during his second impeachment trial over the deadly Capitol attack.

Utah Republicans have attempted to censure the GOP lawmaker over both of those votes against Donald Trump.

“This is what the president has caused today, instigating this — this insurrection,” Romney said of the infamous Capitol siege. “It’s what this says to the country and the world.” The authors claim that Mitt was furious over the January 6th attack and blames Trump for what happened.
