Scandal-Ridden Ex-President Suffers Another Brutal Legal Blow As Judge Orders Trump Lawyer’s Notes Handed Over To The DOJ

It just keeps getting worse.

Frankly, things are going badly enough in former President Trump’s life as it is, considering he’s almost undeniably about to be indicted by the Manhattan District Attorney next week. But it seems Donald is learning the hard way that things can always get worse, as outgoing Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell delivered a brutal legal setback to the scandal-ridden ex-president this week after she ruled that notes belonging to one of Donald Trump’s attorneys are to be handed over to the US Department of Justice.

Judge Howell stepped down from her position on Friday of this week. But, before officially leaving, she ruled that Trump attorney M. Evan Corcoran can be questioned by federal investigators, despite any attorney/client privilege between Corcoran and the former president. But that wasn’t all, on her way out, Howell delivered what the Daily Beast’s Jose Pagliery described as a “parting gift” to DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith, when she handed down the brutal ruling regarding the attorney’s notes, as Smith continues to investigate the corrupt for president on numerous fronts, on behalf of the Biden/Garland Justice Department.

The Beast report points out that Howell’s ruling regarding the Trump attorney’s notes could serve to give the Justice Department a massive leg up, with regard to officially indicting the former president in connection to their investigation into the highly-classified, top-secret government documents that Donald Trump effectively stole and moved with him to his Mar-a-Lago resort turned post-White House personal home at the end of his tumultuous presidency, and then proceeded to hoard those materials at his compound and repeatedly lie to federal officials about his possession of them, opening him up to multiple charges including violations of the Presidential Records Act and obstruction of justice charges.

Pagliery notes that, to make matters worse still for the former president, Judge Howell notably skipped over a standard step in the process of making and delivering her brutal ruling.

“Judges who come to the conclusion that some legally protected and sensitive material must be turned over to an opposing side normally issue an order directing one side to do it, along with a deadline. Doing so gives the losing side the ability to appeal to a higher court—and prevent irreversible damage that could forever taint a case, according to two lawyers not involved in the case who spoke to The Daily Beast but asked not to be identified,” the Beast reporter writes, going on to add, “But Howell appears to have skipped that careful yet tedious approach—and just handed Smith a batch of documents that may show Trump and one of his lawyers planning a crime.”

Attorney David Cross weighed in on the matter, explaining, “She’s taken all the legal relief out of their hands. If she orders them to do it, they can take up an appeal on an emergency basis. She may have been concerned from what she read in the documents. She may have not trusted them to comply with an order.”

Suffice it to say, Donald Trump’s life is officially falling apart in every conceivable direction.
