As the January 6th House Select Committee ups the ante ahead of upcoming elections, it seems congressional investigators with the panel have set their sights on two particular potential operatives — none other than controversial Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and his equally scandal-ridden wife and Trump loyalist, Ginni Thomas.
Both Clarence and his wife Ginni — who considers herself an “activist” and infamously boasts deep ties to Donald Trump’s attempted government coup to overthrow the 2020 presidential election and, more specifically, to the notorious, deadly January 6th attack on the Capitol by Trump’s mob of supporters — have both remained adamant that their careers remained safe from a wall of protection between their jobs and their mounting scandals. However, it seems that J6 investigators are beginning to dismantle that wall, brick by shameful brick.
Raw Story, publishing from French private international news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP,) published a disturbingly deep dive into the scandal that’s rapidly mounting around the Supreme Court’s most notorious Conservative power couple.
While the pair, who have been married for 35 years now, are certainly no strangers to scandal in their personal, professional, and political lives, there’s almost no denying that the couple is beginning to feel the heat, as investigators put them under the microscope over the scandal surrounding a treasure trove of text messages and emails that appear to prove Ginni Thomas’ personal involvement in the likely unlawful plot to keep Donald Trump in power.

Given that a slew of Trump-related cases are on the fast track to the high court, it’s left many to rightfully question and ultimately doubt that Clarence Thomas can, or would, fairly and independently rule on cases that could very likely implicate his wife.
Ginni has, of course, infamously refused to cooperate with the January 6th House Select Committee’s investigation into the days surrounding, leading up to, and during the deadly Capitol attack. That is, until now. Recently, the Supreme Court Justice’s wife finally agreed to testify before the House Committee in the coming weeks, as the panel prepares to reignite their blockbuster public hearings.
In a statement to US Media Ginni’s attorney, Mark Paoletta, said, “Mrs. Thomas is eager to answer the committee’s questions to clear up any misconceptions about her work relating to the 2020 election. She looks forward to that opportunity.”
