Secret Service Appeared To Contradict Trump’s Claims About G-7 Summit At Doral Resort

It's always even better when he gets busted by his own people.

Donald Trump really, really wanted to hold the next G-7 Summit that’s scheduled to take place in the US at his Doral resort in Florida — because grifters gonna grift, right?

He plans wound up getting shut down relatively quickly because, well, you can’t make money off the presidency, jackass. But that, of course, did nothing to stop Trump from whining about it a whole lot and peddling claims that everyone, down to his Secret Service agents really, really wanted him to hold it there too.

According to him, government personnel searched high and low and still simply could not find a better or more suitable venue than Trump’s very own property.

“When my people came back … They went to places all over the country. And they came back and they said, ‘This [Doral] is where we would like to be.’ Now we had military people doing it. We had Secret Service people doing it,” Donald stated a while back when the argument over the venue was still fresh.

However, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) got their hands on some records from the United States Secret Service as well as emails from Doral city officials that prove Trump’s claims can be filed with most of the rest of them under the “Complete and Utter Bullshit” tab.

Instead of the widespread support among his Secret Service agents that Trump so desperately wanted us to believe was true, the evidence collected by CREW shows that the Secret Service was actually quite reluctant to go along with Donald’s Doral scheme, stating “the property does present some challenges” before redacting their original statement and replacing it with a generic implication of security concerns.

The records obtained by CREW go on to indicate that Doral was added to the list for consideration at the very last moment, reading, “[b]y departure, they had already cut two (California and North Carolina) and added Miami on the back end” — all of which blows a gaping hole in Trump defense of his decision to hold the gathering of world leaders at his personal property where he stands to make a hefty paycheck.

CREW also went on to attempt to obtain records of conversations between the Secret Service agency and the city of Doral to back up the claim that Trump’s Doral resort was heavily vetted in consideration for the Summit. CREW was unable to confirm any such correspondence, further calling Trump’s claims into question.

We know the dude lies. Like… A lot. But you would think he would at least lie about things that his own people wouldn’t blatantly contradict, right? I mean, c’mon dude.
