Social Media Accuses Usha Vance Of ‘Trolling’ Trump With New ‘Diaper’ Initiative

On Monday, Usha Vance shared a post promoting National Diaper Need Awareness Week, which runs through September 20 and highlights the everyday costs families face keeping babies in diapers. “Consider supporting the diaper network or finding a diaper bank in your own community,” she wrote, encouraging donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word.

The post landed right in the middle of an ongoing internet theory, and people connected the dots fast.

Under different circumstances, this would be a routine ask from a second lady. But commenters were quick to tie it to ongoing rumors that Trump wears an adult diaper under his suit.

The underlying rumor traces back to Thursday, when footage of Trump walking away from cameras went viral, with viewers convinced they’d spotted the outline of a diaper beneath his suit. The clip revived the long-running “Diaper Don” hashtag almost instantly. “I know a full diaper when I see one,” one user claimed with total confidence. Another kept things short: “America, run by a man in diapers.”

Scrutiny like this has practically become a fixture of Trump’s second term at this point. Hand bruising alone has come up more than once, and the explanations have shifted depending on the day.

Then-Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt repeatedly chalked it up to Trump “constantly working and shaking hands all day, every day,” while pointing to his daily aspirin regimen as a contributing factor. Trump offered his own explanation at Davos in January, telling reporters, “My hand, I clipped it on the table,” before recommending aspirin to anyone worried about their heart health.
