Donald Trump and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani have a bizarre relationship. While others in Trump’s orbit have distanced themselves from the bug-eyed former mayor, Trump has kept him close by — even while Giuliani is under investigation. Novelist Greg Olear, who authored “Dirty Rubles,” interviewed Twitter user @Lincolnsbible, an editor and citizen journalist, and it revealed exactly how shady Giuliani and his client are.
The two touched on the topic that raised eyebrows when Giuliani said Trump would not throw him under the bus because he had “insurance.” Olear was told of the hatred they have for each other.
“Here’s the thing…and it’s NYC mob gossip, but I trust the source. Rudy and Donald hate each other. Capital ‘H’ hate,” she told Olear. “They both have dirt on one another. And, for both, it’s as bad as it gets. Cocaine, corruption, and bloody mob shit. So they’re stuck together. Don’t look for one to turn on the other. Unless drugs/alcohol/dementia takes over, and they burn each other down as they internally crumble.”
The alleged mafia ties with Trump go way back:
When the Russian mafiya began rolling in, they landed in Fred’s properties and partnered with the Genovese on some big ticket scams. This was also during the time that Fred and his attorney Roy Cohn set up S&A concrete (via Nick Auletta)—a joint venture between Tony Salerno (Genovese boss) and Paul Castellano (Gambino boss), so that Donald could build in Manhattan. Remember Donald’s quote, ‘Even my father, he said, you don’t want to go to Manhattan. That’s not our territory’? That’s because Manhattan, for construction, was Gambino territory. They controlled the concrete and unions. And Fred was a very loyal, shrewd front for the Genovese. To get his idiot, greedy kid into Manhattan, Fred and Roy Cohn had to get those two mob bosses to agree on a joint venture.”

In November, Fox News’ Ed Henry asked Giuliani whether he’s communicated with Trump over the president’s Ukraine scandal that involved him, too.
“You can assume that I talk with him early and often and have a very, very good relationship with him, and all these comments — which are totally insulting — I mean, I’ve seen things written like he’s going to throw me under the bus,” Giuliani replied. “When they say that, I say, ‘He isn’t, but I have insurance.'”
Giuliani later tried to backpedal his “insurance” remarks on Twitter in order to do damage control.
“TRUTH ALERT: The statement I’ve made several times of having an insurance policy, if thrown under bus, is sarcastic & relates to the files in my safe about the Biden Family’s 4 decade monetizing of his office,” Giuliani tweeted at the time.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff called Trump’s pressure on Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to help him smear former Vice-President Joe Biden, “a classic Mafia-like shakedown of a foreign leader.”
“Insurance policy,” though, is straight-up mobster rhetoric. It’s been speculated before that Trump had and may still have mafia ties so Olear and Lincoln’s Bible might be onto something here. One thing is certain: Giuliani went from prosecuting the mob to being inundated with scandals. Something changed him.
