Ted Cruz Squirms, Refuses To Answer When Yale Student Asks The TX GOP Senator If He Would Do Something He Opposes If It Would End World Hunger

Well, folks, the best thing ever happened this week.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz recorded a live episode of his Verdict podcast at Yale University with his co-host and conservative political commentator Michael Knowles, where they took questions from attendees of the university that were gathered to watch.

But things got HELLA awkward when one Yale student asked the staunch, Trump-loving Republican lawmaker if he would be willing to “fel*** another man” if it would end world hunger.

The Conservative hosts were covering all sorts of hot topics, ranging from intellectual diversity to the recent confirmation of President Biden’s nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. But one student named Evan threw a wrench in the whole convo with his question.  Evan flat-out asked the Republican congressman from the audience at around 1:37:47 into the full video of the episode.

Cruz seemed to squirm and wither as he dodged the question altogether and instead passed it on to his co-host Knowles — who was quick to confirm that he would not be doing anything “flagrantly immoral”, no matter what the possible outcome of it may be.

“Like a typical left-wing undergraduate, you are engaging in consequentialist ethics,” Knowles fumed, clearly bothered by the question, before noting that it was likely a reference to American Psycho’s “That Yale thing” scene.

Cruz’s co-host went on to accuse Evan of “attempting to justify flagrantly immoral behavior to achieve a good end,” before adding “and I tell you, my friend, the ends do not justify the means. Absolutely, absolutely not.”

Knowles didn’t explain why he thinks this is “flagrantly immoral,” but we can assume that it has less to do with personal choice and more to do with the concept of same-sex relationships.

After he successfully dodged the uncomfy question, Cancun’s finest took back the stage to flip a similar question back onto the Ivy League student, asking Evan, “I am curious with that young fellow. If it would solve world hunger, would you vote for Donald Trump?” earning himself some scattered, half-assed laughs from the audience.
