As more and more information begins to come to light through authorities and reporting on the Highland Parks, Illinois, shooting suspect, more and more evidence is now surfacing that seems to point to a relatively common trend among many of these heinously violent individuals — their apparent support for former President Donald Trump.
NBC News now reports that the suspected shooter who left 7 dead and more than 40 injured at a Fourth of July parade in an Illinois suburb, 21-year-old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III, had a long trail across multiple social media platforms and profiles that have been attributed to him that praise and give tribute to various mass shootings and public killings, and seemingly indicate his support from the controversial, scandal-ridden 45th US president.
Among the various violent and even suicidal social media posts that have been attributed to Crimo since the heinous shooting, NBC News’ report takes special note of a specific interest of the alleged shooter:
Crimo didn’t frequently post about major political figures on his websites, except for two posts about former President Donald Trump.
A video posted to Crimo’s YouTube page on Jan. 2, 2021, appears to show Crimo among a throng of protesters cheering for Trump’s presidential motorcade outside an airport. Crimo flips the phone’s orientation to reveal his face at the end of the video.
Crimo is also seen draped in a Trump flag in a June 27, 2021, post on Twitter. The post is captioned with only the word ‘spam.'”
