Trump Slammed With Yet Another Brutal Loss As Judge Slaps Down His Attempt To Dismiss Civil Suit Lodge Against Him By Capitol Officers

That's gotta sting!

It seems as though the punches just keep rolling in for the former guy, with no real end in sight.

Just earlier today, we reported on the news that the New York Attorney General’s office is coming full force for court-ordered, under-oath testimonies from both Donald Trump and his eldest daughter Ivanka, after the New York Times revealed that, according to inside sources, his eldest son Don Jr. has already spoken with investigators.

Now, Trump’s day got a lot worse still, after new reporting from POLTICIO’s Kyle Cheney reveals that U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta brutally slapped down the scandal-ridden ex-president’s desperate efforts to dismiss a civil lawsuit that was filed against him by Capitol Police officers who were injured on January 6th, 2021, as a direct result of the Capitol insurrection perpetrated by a mob of Trump’s most rabid supporters in his name.

In his defense, Trump attempted to claim that his actions leading up to and during the infamous Capitol attack should not stand subject to civil litigation because they “fall within the ‘outer perimeter’ of his presidential responsibilities.” Mehta shot this notion down.

The U.S. district judge cited his own past rulings in previous Trump dismissal motions he had personally slapped down, all of which he upheld the determination that Trump’s actions “entirely concern his efforts to remain in office for a second term,” and were not any part of his official duties as America’s commander-in-chief.”

“Accordingly, President Trump’s motions to dismiss are denied,” Mehta’s ruling closes.

This is just yet another loss in a long-standing precedent of brutal losses for the former guy, not only with regard to his efforts to toss out civil lawsuits that have been lodged against him but also in his desperate attempts to toss out the civil investigation being conducted by NY Attorney General Letitia James.
