Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith to manage the investigations that the US Department of Justice currently has running against scandal-ridden ex-President Donald J. Trump — and suffice it to say, Smith is doing his job with the vengeance of God himself.
Trump knew in his heart of hearts that nothing good (for him, anyway) was going to come from the Justice Department’s appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith to handle their range of federal criminal investigations into the scandal-ridden, clearly corrupt former president. To be entirely frank, that’s precisely why Trump freaked out to the degree that he did, and continues to almost daily at this point — he knows Jack Smith is coming for him.
The former president’s fear has been palpable in recent weeks, with regard to Smith’s steamrolling of the DOJ investigations. After the news broke this week of the Biden classified document incident, it seems Trump saw this as an opportunity to attempt to detract from his own mounting legal perils, and hopefully invalidate both Smith and President Biden in the process.
But to be quite frank, all Trump has managed to truly accomplish is putting his own panic and fear on full display, for all the world to see.

Trump wrapped up his explosive rant (for now, anyway) with one final, un-numbered post, in which he demanded an “end” to the investigations against him: “Merrick Garland has to immediately end Special Counsel investigation into anything related to me because I did everything right, and appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Joe Biden who hates Biden as much as Jack Smith hates me.”
New York Times correspondent and so-called “Trump Whisperer” Maggie Haberman, as well as others, have reported this week that Trumpworld has considered the somewhat explosive Biden document scandal as a political gift from the heavens for the scandal-ridden former president and 2024 candidate. However, it’s strikingly clear at this point that Trump is looking this proverbial “gift horse” dead in the mouth.
