Trump Administration Reportedly Considering Immunity For Saudi Crown Prince At The Center Of Assassination Plot

This is just too much.

Donald Trump has been defending Mohammed bin Salman for some time, even after the assassination and dismembering of the Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi in October 2018, so even though it’s a disturbing move for most of us to think of, for this president to consider immunity for the murderous Saudi Crown Prince is just another day for the former reality show star.

The Washington Post reports that the Trump administration “is weighing a request to declare Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman immune from a federal lawsuit accusing him of targeting for assassination a former top intelligence officer who could disclose damaging secrets about the prince’s ascent to power, according to legal documents related to the case.”

Oh, that’s not too surprising since, in June of last year — even after there was an uproar over Khashoggi’s gruesome murder — Trump praised Mohammed bin Salman, saying he was doing a “spectacular job” as the two met on the sidelines of the G20 summit at the time.

“You have done a spectacular job,” Trump told the crown prince, calling him “a friend of mine.”

And now there’s this:

A State Department recommendation could also lead to the dismissal of the prince as a defendant in other cases recently filed in the United States, including ones accusing him of directing the death and dismemberment of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018; and of targeting a hack and leak operation to discredit an Al Jazeera news anchor Ghada Oueiss in retaliation for her critical reports on Mohammed and the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates.

Khashoggi, 59, was a longtime Washington Post columnist known for his criticism of the Saudi kingdom. He was assassinated and dismembered at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2, 2018, after going there to get paperwork for his upcoming marriage while his fiancée waited outside.

And Trump being Trump, did not attack the accused, and instead probably got his rocks off thinking about the journalist being dismembered. There is no other explanation for this sadistic president considering immunity for the Crown Prince known as M.S.B. and will forever be remembered for the bone saws that were used in the murder. U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had ordered the hit, so of course, Trump is siding with the assassin.
