Former Vice President Joe Biden is winning the 2020 presidential election, folks. There’s simply no two ways about it. While it’s been a slow burn, due to the high number of mail-in and early votes, it’s clear that the Democratic nominee has swooped in in the last quarter and is making that blue wave we all hoped for and dreamed of. And Donald Trump is not happy.
The fact of the matter is, as the mail-in votes are tallied — which have been disproportionately Democratic — Biden has now overtaken the incumbent President in states that Donald and his team believed to be secure wins, such as Pennsylvania and Georgia. To say the least, this turn of events has upset Donald Trump to his core, leading him to quite literally contradict himself with threats, court filings, and lawsuits in different states, based on whether he’s winning them or not.
Essentially, the current President is demanding that states “STOP THE COUNT” where he was winning, so as not to count any more mail-in votes that are Democratic. However, the thing of it is, Joe Biden was still ahead, both in the popular and the electoral vote when Trump was making these demands. And apparently, Donald’s aides had to explain as much to him.
According to a report from The Washington Post aides for the Trump team were forced to sit the President down and explain to him that, should he get his wish and states miraculously just stopped counting any further votes… Joe Biden would still win the presidency and it would guarantee Donald’s loss.

The Post reports that the president’s senior advisors “intervened, explaining to the president that he needed to be more precise about just which vote counts he wanted halted.”
They also add, “He did not want all of the states to stop counting votes, they added, because that would lead to a Biden victory.”
NBC News reported, “The aides think fraud is a better message and are trying to get him to stick to it.”
Sure enough, yesterday afternoon, Trump appeared to switch his messaging to, “STOP THE FRAUD!”
Washington correspondent for New York Magazine Olivia Nuzzi gave a similar report on Twitter, writing, “I’m told that President Trump can’t get his messaging straight on counting the votes because he doesn’t understand what ‘stop the count’ means. On a call this morning, an adviser had to explain to him that if they stopped counting votes right now, he would lose the election.”
Nuzzi followed with a second tweet, reading, “Trump said he assumed people knew that by ‘stop the count’ he didn’t mean he wanted to stop the count. The adviser had to explain to him that actually people figured he meant he wanted to stop the count when he said ‘stop the count.'”
Frankly, Donald Trump doesn’t get to pick and choose where he wants votes counted and doesn’t. The American people have spoken. It’s over.
