Trump Boasts About Poll Numbers That He Says Have Him “Ahead Of Everybody In Every State” When In Actuality, Poll Shows Him Ahead In Only 3 States

He's delusional.

Donald Trump likes to cite false figures that can easily be debunked, but his base eats it up and he needs their support, especially with a looming impeachment. The “president” is on his way to Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he’ll hold another rally, and he’s likely to talk incessantly about how he is the greatest president in this history of our country. Trump spoke to reporters and discussed the articles of impeachment that were unveiled on Tuesday, and of course, he pointed to the economy.

Trump falsely noted poll numbers by the Republican firm Firehouse Strategies, who he claimed, show him “ahead of everybody in every state.” Trump is ahead in three battleground states, but not “every state,” according to the pollster. The poll found, in contrast to other recent surveys, that a majority of likely 2020 voters surveyed do not support impeaching and removing Trump from office.

“We’re way ahead of everybody in every sta–every, you know, most of them,” he said. “I think, most of the swing states, we’re way ahead.”

Watch:

Trump typically cites favorable polls, like Rasmussen, which isn’t really a credible pollster. On average, 53.3 percent of people polled disapprove of his job performance, according to RealClearPolitics.

A Fox News poll released last month shows former Vice President Joe Biden and Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) all with head-to-head leads over Trump in Nevada, which is considered a “perennial” swing state, so we’re not sure what the “president” is blabbering about unless he’s just repeating the words from the voices in his head.

Trump has repeatedly called unfavorable polls “fake” and tweeted out favorable numbers without leaving a link to back it up. Maybe Trump was too busy trying to operate his umbrella to think clearly. Also, he doesn’t seem to realize that the economy has nothing to do with his impeachment. It has everything to do with obstruction and abuse of power.

He just can’t handle the fact that he’s the least popular “president” in the history of polling.
