Trump Calls CNN’s Kaitlan Collins A “Nasty Person” During Tonight’s Town Hall

We knew this was coming.

This evening, scandal-ridden former president Donald Trump — who is already openly refusing to participate in a Republican presidential debate — participated in a town hall with CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins, which he has effectively treated like less of a political forum and more of an open mic night featuring the one and only Donnie J. Trump.

Over and over and over again throughout the evening, Collins posed multiple questions to the former president, only for him to grandstand, scream, carry on, beat around the bush, and yet repeatedly never even answered the question posed to him with a simple yes or no. There was no topic in tonight’s event that was immune from this treatment from the former guy.

At one point, the CNN anchor and town hall host was able to segue into the topic of the infamous stolen Mar-a-Lago documents — the notorious scandal in which Donald Trump stole boxes full of hundreds upon hundreds of classified, top-secret government documents upon the end of his presidential term and took them with him to his Palm Beach resort turned post-White House home. He then repeatedly failed to return those materials upon multiple requests from the National Archives and Records Administration and even refused to comply with a federal subpoena for the documents’ return. This all culminated in an FBI search and seizure warrant raid against ex-President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, where multiple boxes of documents and materials, many of which were of a highly sensitive nature, were seized from the compound.

The mere mention of the document scandal was enough to fire Trump up into a tizzy, leaving him talking circles around himself while, once again, failing to actually answer any questions, despite Collins’ numerous attempts to re-focus Trump.

The host’s attempts to stay focused and on track apparently began to infuriate the big guy, so much so that, as he grew angrier with Collins, he eventually devolved into one of his favorite insults:

“You’re a nasty person.”

Frankly, we should’ve seen that coming from a mile away.
