Trump Claims Federal Government May Have To “Step In” And Take Control of San Francisco: “It’s Worse Than A Slum”

Oh dear God.

In spite of the fact that he officially got himself acquitted at the conclusion of his recent Senate impeachment trial, just exactly as he wanted and expected, Donald Trump unsurprisingly still has not let go of the grudge he’s got against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for ever holding him accountable and opening the formal inquiry in the first place.

Since Donald doesn’t have the ability to simply kick Pelosi out of her position in Congress, though I have no doubt that he’s checked with everyone he possibly can about it, Trump has seemingly taken to different ideas in an effort to get back at the House Speaker.

In a speech today, it appears that his newest idea has come in the form of threatening to federally “take over” Pelosi’s district in California under the guise of concern for the area.

Trump delivered remarks at a White House event in Bakersfield, California where he kicked things off by responding to a fan in the crowd who shouted out that he wanted to “get rid” of Nancy Pelosi.

“Get rid of Pelosi! That’s okay with me!” Trump shouted back. “Lot of people agree. Look what’s happened to San Francisco. So sad what’s happened, when you see a slum, where it’s a slum. It’s worse than a slum. There’s no slum like that.”

“It’s something that we’re going to do something about,” he continued to prattle. “Because if they don’t fix it up, clean it up, take care of the homeless, do what they have to do but clean up their city, the federal government is going to have to step in. And we’re going to do it in Los Angeles and San Francisco.”

Honestly… I’m at a loss for what to even do with this latest Trumpian outburst. This is one of those things where I just hang and shake my head, muttering, “Please God, no” under my breath.
