President Donald Trump has been known to snap at the press, and he did so once again on Tuesday in the Oval Office.
During the press availability, a reporter asked Trump a question that involved his ownership of golf courses, presumably in relation to the Administration’s controversial plans to overhaul the historic East Potomac Golf Links in Washington. Per Mediate, the reporter was The Independent’s White House correspondent Andrew Feinberg.
The exchange went like this:
REPORTER: Mr. President, you own a lot of golf courses.
TRUMP: Quiet. Quiet. What’s wrong with you? Are you a sick person?
REPORTER: Not that I know of, sir.
TRUMP: I actually think there’s something wrong with you.

Later in the exchange, Feinberg asked the president about a new plan to compensate whistleblowers.
After JD Vance insulted the reporter on X, Feinberg responded:
Mr. Vice President, if you’re going to insult me at least have the guts to tag my account.

Social media users had some thoughts about the reporter’s heated exchange with the president:
This is insane.
Everyone sees that lately he’s openly moved his allegiance to Putin. But none of this is normal in the United States of America.
Thank a journalist today.

I don’t know why these reporters are even bothering to keep their decorum anymore. He’s not.

Imagine turning a simple question into a personal attack. Why is accountability always treated like disrespect?
