Trump Dramatically Ruled Out Nikki Haley As VP Pick Just Hours After Haley Made It Clear That She Wouldn’t Take It If He Offered

During his campaign rally in Concord, New Hampshire last night, it seemed Donald Trump had Nikki Haley on the brain all night long, as he hilariously confused his 2024 Republican presidential opponent with former Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, proceeded to blame the January 6th Capitol attack on Haley, and then made the dramatic declaration that Haley was “not gonna be chosen” as his 2024 VP running mate — hours after Haley had already publicly said that she wouldn’t run on Donnie’s ticket if he begged her to.

Speaking to the crowd at his rally last night, Trump declared that his own former ambassador to the United Nations was “not of the timber” to be his vice president and claimed that he only gave her the position of UN ambassador during his term as a favor for South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, who took Haley’s job as SC governor after Haley stepped down to take the position in Trump’s Cabinet.

“Nikki is somebody that puts America last,” Trump said of his 2024 opponent and former employee.

“She is not presidential timber. Now when I say that, that probably means that she’s not gonna be chosen as the vice president.”

You can go and you can say certain things, you know, ‘I don’t like ’em’ and ba ba ba, but when you say certain things, it sort of takes them out of play, right? I can’t say, ‘She’s not of the timber to be a vice…’ and then say, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, I’m proud to announce that I’ve picked…’ Do you understand? But that’s the way it is.”

What makes this whole egotistical display of his even funnier, though, is the fact that it came mere hours after Haley had already quashed the Trump/Haley 2024 ticket rumors when she said “I don’t play for second. I don’t want to be anybody’s vice president. That is off the table.”

Funnily enough, up until last night, after Haley’s pointed remarks, Trump had refused to rule out his former UN ambassador as a 2024 VP contender.
