Trump Endorsed Candidate Seems To Be Done With Trump, Dumps The Former President’s Imagery From Campaign Website

Ouch. That's gotta sting.

Life really and truly just keeps getting worse and worse for the washed-up, one-term, twice-impeached former guy. The explosive January 6th hearings are beating him down beyond belief, as he and his family are finding themselves more and more exposed at every turn, the investigations and lawsuits lodged against him are mounting with each passing day, and some of his staunchest allies are beginning to turn on him at a rather alarming rate.

Just a few hours ago, we reported that the co-founder of the Women for Trump group has now gone public with her deep disappointment in #45, over his endorsement of Mo Brooks and his public support for Katie Britt — Brooks’ Republican opponent who just won the Alabama primary yesterday.

Now, it seems one of Donald’s own handpicked congressional candidates has also turned his back on the former guy.

Trump’s decision to publicly endorse Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate, television personality Dr. Mehemet Oz, was a controversial one among his party as well as his supporters, to say the very least. The backlash was pretty much instant and intense, but nevertheless, Trump stayed strong in his support for the TV dr.

However, it seems that the public support may not be mutual after all.

Observations have been made today that Mehmet Oz’s campaign website has seemingly been completely scrubbed of any imagery that has to do with former President Donald Trump. As Axios pointed out, the site was formerly chock full of Trump branding and various photos of the television personality turned Senate hopeful with the former president. But now, suddenly, the website is completely devoid of it all, possibly signaling a massive shift in the congressional candidate’s campaign strategies.

Axios’ Andrew Solender reports on the apparent dramatic shift away from scandal-ridden Donald Trump:

  • After the endorsement, Trump was a near-ubiquitous fixture in Oz’s spots — even a series of six-second issue ads on guns, abortion and energy began with ‘endorsed by President Trump.’
  • Oz’s Twitter account mentioned Trump more than 70 times between the endorsement on April 9 and primary day, May 17.
  • On Google and Facebook, Oz’s campaign bought a barrage of Trump-focused ads during the primary.
  • Both his Facebook and Twitter accounts were emblazoned during the primary with a cover photo of Trump and Oz with the words ‘endorsed by Trump,’ and his website had a pop-up to let visitors know he was “Trump-endorsed.”

There’s a very high likelihood that Oz’s shift away from the former president is all but guaranteed to do a couple of things — piss Donald Trump off in the worst sort of way, as he will almost assuredly feel that his loyalty has been betrayed, and could very well serve to cost the television personality quite a few votes from the MAGA crowd. Suffice it to say, it truly makes you wonder what exactly is going on behind the scenes with these two.
