Trump Gets Absolutely Dragged After Saying Harris Was ‘Horrible’ To Pence—The Irony is Unmissable

The irony is strong with this one.

Political running mates have never been as contentious as they have been since the Trump administration, a trend that’s clearly evident in the 2024 election. This year, Trump isn’t just facing a presidential contender—he’s up against incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris, who stepped into the race after President Biden opted not to run for re-election.

During an interview with Mark Levin on Fox News this Sunday, Trump took aim at Harris while ironically criticizing her treatment of his former vice president, Mike Pence, who is now his opponent. Trump referred to the 2020 vice-presidential debate, where Harris and Pence sparred.

“Now, they have Kamala, who has many deficiencies, but she’s a nasty person. The way she treated Mike Pence was horrible. The way she treats people is horrible.”

Social media users were quick to highlight the irony of Trump’s remarks, considering the danger he placed Pence in by urging him to reject the certification of the 2020 election on January 6, 2021.

Newsweek provides a detailed timeline of the Capitol attack, during which Trump supporters attempted to halt the certification of Biden’s victory.

The irony here is almost too rich. Trump, who essentially threw Pence to the MAGA wolves on January 6, 2021, is now playing moral authority, wagging his finger at Kamala Harris for a debate clash that pales in comparison.

Criticizing Harris for being “horrible” to Pence while conveniently forgetting how he left his own vice president to face an angry mob feels like classic Trump—selective memory and all. It’s like scolding someone for spilling coffee while you’re standing there with an entire pot dumped over your head.
