Any normal person who had just been acquitted on a crapton of charges and transgressions that they absolutely committed by a Senate packed full of their equally corrupt peers, after having already been officially impeached in the House, would likely be jumping with joy and even more so gratitude at this point. Because frankly, even with a deplorable excuse for a jury, you gotta admit that was a close one.
If Donald Trump had even a few recognizable brain cells left in that Adderall-fried noggin of his, he’d be sitting down, shutting up, and doing that weird “thank you” thing with his mouth right about now. But Donald Trump isn’t a normal human being with functioning brain matter and ol’ Susan Collins was WAY off the mark when she thought that he might have learned his lesson over this whole ordeal.
The only thing Donald Trump learned as a result of his formal impeachment proceedings and ultimate hack job acquittal is the fact that he can pretty much get away with anything at this point, and he’s flaunting it.
This morning, Donald took the stage at the National Prayer Breakfast waving around a copy of a newspaper that featured a big, bold “ACQUITTED” headline.

But he didn’t stop there.
Now that Trump thinks has been “exonerated” on his charges related to the Ukraine scandal, he’s taken to harping back on the previous scandal as well — labeling the Russia investigation as “bullshit” during a speaking event in the White House East Room this afternoon.
“There’s nothing from a legal standpoint, this is a political thing,” Trump began during his speech before turning to complain about how unfairly he’s been treated.
“You have to understand, we first went through Russia, Russia, Russia. It was all bullshit,” he declared.
There’s a lot of bullshit going on here, Donnie. That’s true. But it pertains to your acquittal, your presidency, and your administration. But you don’t want to talk about that.
