Well, Donald Trump and Mike Pence are officially broken up, folks.
The one-term, twice-impeached former guy has once again released one of his trademarked, unhinged “official” statements ranting and raving over the 2020 presidential election, the infamous January 6th ordeal, and ever-mounting investigation that’s resulted from it all. However, here lately, he’s set his sights on one poor sap in particular — his old vice president.
Just yesterday, we reported on Trump’s newest apparent scheme he’ll likely try to use to steal the next election — all through whoever turns out to be his new VP. But one thing we pretty much can guarantee is that won’t shake out to be Pence this time.
We’ve known for some time now that Trump and Pence have been on the outs (what with the whole “Hang Mike Pence” ordeal during the insurrection and all) primarily due to the fact that Pence plucked his spine up out of Mother’s purse just long enough to refuse to go along with Trump’s unhinged and illegal plan of using his vice-presidential “power” to refuse to certify the results of the Electoral College votes that officiated Joe Biden’s election win. Ever since then, Donald has put one of his infamous targets slap in the middle of Mike Pence’s back.

Frankly, any normal individual would’ve been over it by now. But this is Trump we’re talking about here, and it seems his anger and ire towards his former right-hand man is only getting increasingly worse.
In yet another entirely manic “official” statement he released through his spokeswoman today, Trump once again took aim at the January 6th House Select Committee that’s currently neck-deep in their investigation into the violent Capitol siege. But this time, he threw in a little extra drama, when he called on the panel to investigate his own former VP over Pence’s refusal to overturn the election.
“So pathetic to watch the Unselect Committee of political hacks, liars, and traitors work so feverishly to alter the Electoral College Act so that a Vice President cannot ensure the honest results of the election, when just one year ago they said that ‘the Vice President has absolutely no right to ensure the true outcome or results of an election,'” Trump rages in his newest statement.
He goes on to double-down on the notion that, if Democrats are working to close the loophole that could potentially allow a VP to overturn the results of an election, then it means that Pence could have done that for him, and just chose not to.
“The Vice President did have this right or, more pointedly, could have sent the votes back to various legislators for reassessment after so much fraud and irregularities were found,” he fumed, despite the fact that he failed on numerous occasions to produce enough evidence of fraud to even convince the judges he appointed himself. “If it were sent back to the legislators, or if Nancy Pelosi, who is in charge of Capitol security, had taken my recommendation and substantially increased security, there would have been no ‘January 6’ as we know it!”
“Therefore, the Unselect Committee should be investigating why Nancy Pelosi did such a poor job of overseeing security and why Mike Pence did not send back the votes for recertification or approval, in that it has now been shown that he clearly had the right to do so!”
The man really doesn’t even comprehend how much he’s just telling on himself at this point.
