Trump Laughably Claims That The “Generals” Are Asking Him To Speak At West Point: “They Wanted Me To Speak. I Didn’t Want To Speak”

He takes no responsibility. Ever.

President Donald Trump excused his narcissistic decision to make 1,000 cadets return to West Point in June so that he can deliver the commencement speech there by blaming the generals for somehow forcing him to do it. Seriously.

During a disastrous Fox News town hall sacrilegiously located in front of the Lincoln Memorial, a sweaty Trump was asked about his upcoming West Point speech, which has been widely criticized for endangering cadets due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic that has killed nearly 70,000 Americans.

In a clear effort to avoid responsibility for his own stupidity and recklessness, Trump once again claimed that West Point asked him to speak, only to then shift to blaming the “generals” as if they were forcing him to do it. Trump also claimed that there’s “no risk” to the cadets even though many of them could be asymptomatic and pass the virus to others in attendance.

Here’s the video:

First of all, the military academy did not invite Trump to speak there, according to West Point graduate Will Goodwin.

Second, is Trump seriously saying that the generals are forcing him — the president — to do something?

Trump is such a liar, and social media users were having none of it.

Would any active generals out there care to raise their hands if they asked Trump to speak at West Point? I’m sure these future officers would like to know which of their future commanders are going to be reckless with their lives.
