Pro-Trump protesters with Confederate flags, Trump banners, and AR-15s in hand have been rallying around the country to demonstrate against their state’s lockdown that is in effect to flatten the coronavirus curve. Over thirty-seven thousand Americans have died from the massive COVID-19 pandemic that has brought our economy to its knees. In Michigan, some protesters went as far as to block an ambulance from reaching a hospital amid the pandemic.
It’s OK if they want to “Darwin Award” themselves, but these selfish trash monsters will infect others. Our nation’s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, is the right-wing’s latest target amid the pandemic, and honestly, I’m not exactly sure why. Trumpers are always mad. They were mad before the election, and they continued to be mad after the failed vodka salesman won in 2016.
The protest in this video appears to be in Texas, and anti-vaxxers can be seen in the crowd, too, with a banner to display their ignorance. This is why we can’t have nice things: Loud chants of “Fire Fauci” rang out at the protest.

We can all go out and buy essential products, so that’s not an issue. Trump supporters just got — or will get — their socialist relief payment from the government soon, so that should take a little of the financial burden away. As for the economy, it will eventually bounce back, but the Americans who died from the disease will not.
Trump knew of a looming pandemic in November, but he failed to act on it, then Americans started dying. Charles Manson’s and Ted Bundy’s spirits are probably jealous of Trump. We’re not sure why Trumpers don’t want their president to have our country’s top infectious disease expert working on the coronavirus task force except that maybe Fauci standing alongside a president who can barely form a coherent sentence makes Trump look even more ridiculously out of place.
And of course, these protests are likely organized. The alleged humans in that video aren’t even pretending to practice social distancing. Trump has divided this country up so much, and it’s depressing as fuck to watch.
