Trump Marked Easter Sunday With Bonkers Statements Against “Radical Left Maniacs” And NY AG As She Moves To Hold Him In Contempt: “May They Not Succeed, But Let Them, Nevertheless, Be Happy, Healthy, Wealthy, And Well!”

What a way to celebrate Easter...

It seems a disrespect for the Easter holiday — considered one of the holiest days of the year in Christianity — must run in the Trump family.

We just reported on the nasty Easter meme that Donald Trump Jr. posted to his Instagram yesterday, and now it seems his father marked the holy holiday with a similar level of disregard and disrespect when he spent his day publicly fuming at and attacking New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is currently making moves to hold the former president in contempt for his continued refusal to cooperate with subpoenas hailing from her office’s investigation into his business empire.

In a statement posted to Twitter by his spokeswoman Liz Harrington on Easter Sunday, of all days, Trump absolutely fumed at the New York Attorney General, once again calling her “racist” and, once again, without a single shred of proof that James, a Black woman, is actually somehow racist against him for being white.

Trump’s first Easter statement yesterday was mild enough, reading, “Happy Easter to all. May there be great peace and prosperity throughout the World!”

But they didn’t stay that way long. Less than an hour later, Harrington posted another statement on the ex-president’s behalf, reading, ” Happy Easter to all including the Radical Left Maniacs who are doing everything possible to destroy our Country. May they not succeed, but let them, nevertheless, be happy, healthy, wealthy, and well!”

Don’t worry, it got worse still.

Less than 30 minutes after the 2nd Easter statement, Trump released a third, fuming, “Happy Easter to failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James. May she remain healthy despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while at the same time keeping crime, death, and destruction in New York!”

But wait… He’s still going!

Today, Trump seemed to keep his obsession with the New York Attorney General going as strong as ever when he pushed out yet another lie-filled attack against Letitia James and his former home state of New York, going so far as to once against call the AG “racist” and claim that crime in her states is at an “all-time high” — which it certainly is not.

Trump added a special little touch to this statement, as it linked to a highly-curated clip of Letitia James that his middle son Eric posted to social media.

Now, when it comes to Trump’s claim that NY crime is at an “all-time high,” I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know that his assertion is incorrect. It’s true that criminal justice statistics have been on the rise in NYC, in spite of efforts to up the ante among NYPD law enforcement — marking a continual uptick trend since the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But, Trump is absolutely flat-out incorrect when he calls it an “all-time high,” as crime is still down by spades in comparison to its crime peak of the 90s. John Jay College Criminal Justice Professor Christopher Herrmann recently spoke with the New York Times on this very subject and said that recent crime in New York has been largely driven by anger and randomness, not the theft and gang violence that once flooded NYC in past decades. He also clearly noted that NY crime still remains “way below…the doom and gloom of the 1990s.”

Hermann isn’t alone in his professional assessment either, with New York Daily News Police Bureau Chief Rocco Parascandola echoing a similar sentiment during an interview with Mediaite regarding the recent manhunt for New York Brooklyn subway shooter Frank James.

“Obviously, we’re not anywhere near the level we were at at the height of the crack era in the late 80s and early 90s,” Parascandola told the publication. He went on to argue that New York has come so far from the crack epidemic’s crime surge that it’s far fairer to measure crime rates against the rates from 2019 before the pandemic struck.

But what does Donald Trump care, right?
