In case you forgot, what with everything else going on in the world, it was just 6 short months ago that ex-president Donald Trump very publicly called on MLB fans and his supporters to “boycott baseball,” after growing angry with the MLB.

However, now that the sport is back in full swing, it didn’t take long at all for the one-term, twice-impeached, ex-presidential washup to quickly change his mind.

According to a new report from Mediaite, Donald Trump will attend this year’s Game 4 of the World Series, just half a year after he denounced the sport altogether.

Earlier in the sport’s season, Major League Baseball made the decision to move their All-Star Game out of Atlanta, Georgia, in response to severe, resounding backlash over the state’s highly restrictive new voting law. As expected, Conservatives lost their collective minds over this decision from the MLB and quickly took to publicly trashing the entity over their move. Ex-President Trump was one of the pack leaders of the attack, issuing a public statement criticizing the sport and calling for its boycott.

“Baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats who do not want voter I.D.,” Trump’s statement read at the time. “Boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections.”

The former guy went on to claim that the MLB was losing “tremendous numbers of fans,” despite the fact that the sport was still dealing with limited attendees due to restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. But here we are, just 6 months later, and Donnie is joining the pack of returning baseball fans, contributing to sold-out ballparks in Houston and Atlanta.

Braves CEO Terry McGuirk spoke with USA Today and said, “He called MLB and wanted to come to the game. We were very surprised. Of course, we said yes.”

“We are apolitical,” McGuirk said, confirming that the ex-president would be granted his own suite for the game.

The last baseball game attended by Trump was Game 5 of the 2019 World Series in Washington DC — where he was greeted with an embarrassing round of boos. However, as Mediaite notes in their report, we’re sure Donald will stave off the boos this time by leading his own round of “Let’s Go Brandon!” chants.
