Trump Reportedly Personally Asked Pennsylvania Republican House Speaker For Help Changing Election Results

Folks, Donald Trump is desperate with a capital D. He’s got a laundry list of reasons for why conceding this election would be a seriously bad thing for him on a personal level, and every time it starts to look as though he may crack and finally accept his loss (after countless court losses and backfired recounts) the guy finds another way to at least attempt to further his agenda.

And with his desperation is coming a whole lot of carelessness.

According to a bombshell new report from the Washington Post, Trump has allegedly contacted the Speaker of Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives on more than one occasion in an effort to personally stop the state’s electors from backing President-Elect Joe Biden following his victory among voters in the key state last month. The report claims that Trump called Speaker Bryan Cutler on two occasions over the course of the past week, during which Donald called on him to intervene in the electoral process and somehow “fix” the situation.

Cutler spokesman Michael Straub told the Post, “The president said, ‘I’m hearing about all these issues in Philadelphia, and these issues with your law,'” He added that Trump went on to ask, “What can we do to fix it?”

A spokesman for the Speaker has confirmed the occurrence of the calls to the Post however both the Trump campaign and the White House have not responded to requests for comments.

This is far from the first time Donald Trump has pulled a stunt such as this, making multiple calls to multiple lawmakers across the country in an attempt to somehow swing things in his favor.

Trump himself seemed to weigh in on his conversation with the Speaker, who apparently was on his side, writing on Twitter, “Thank you to Speaker Cutler and all others in Pennsylvania and elsewhere who fully understand what went on in the 2020 Election. It’s called total corruption!”

It’s certainly clear that his desperation is getting the best of him.
