Trump Responds To Polls He’s Down Bad On As Three New Polls Show Kamala Totally Dominating

He's losing it

Donald Trump is in full dismissive mode regarding the latest polls showing Kamala Harris gaining ground. During an interview with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, Trump was quick to brush off Harris’s recent rise. MacCallum pointed out that Harris has made gains, particularly among women, Black voters, and young voters, asking, “She’s having some success in that, at this point. What are you going to do — what’s your strategy to rebuild the momentum that you had with those voters?”

Trump responded by flatly denying the premise: “No, she’s not having success. I’m having success. I’m doing great with the Hispanic voters. I’m doing great with Black men. I’m doing great with women, because women want safety.” He doubled down by dismissing the numbers entirely, telling MacCallum, “No, it’s only in your eyes that they have that, Martha. We’re doing very well in the polls.”

Despite Trump’s attempts to discredit the polling data, the numbers show a different story. Harris has made significant gains, and multiple polls indicate that she’s outpacing Trump in critical demographics and battleground states. While Trump is eager to shift the narrative, the data suggests he has a steep hill to climb to regain the momentum he once enjoyed.

But here’s the kicker—these aren’t just any polls. Trump is taking a hit in multiple reputable surveys, and the numbers paint a bleak picture for the former president’s 2024 campaign. In three major new polls, Harris is not just leading—she’s running away with it. Let’s break them down.

First up, the Bullfinch Group’s Q3 2024 nationwide survey has Harris with a solid 47% of the vote compared to Trump’s 39%. That’s an 8-point lead, a considerable gap at this stage of the race. What’s even more interesting is that this survey shows Harris not only holding firm but gaining ground with key demographic groups. Her lead isn’t just about the base showing up—it’s reflective of her broad appeal, something that’s been bubbling up since her vice presidency began.

Then there’s the Fairleigh Dickinson University poll, which also shows Harris leading Trump nationally. This poll underscores that Harris’s identity as a woman of color is resonating with voters who prioritize issues of race and gender.  It’s no surprise that she’s gaining support from voters who feel represented by her, and this momentum seems to be growing as she consolidates her standing in critical battleground states.

Lastly, we have the Outward Intelligence poll, where Harris is again outpacing Trump. This one is notable because it reveals that voters see Harris as the more reliable candidate on key issues like healthcare, the economy, and leadership. For a candidate who’s faced criticism for being somewhat overshadowed as VP, this poll is a clear indicator that voters are taking a second look—and liking what they see.

But perhaps the most shocking piece of polling data comes from North Carolina, where Harris is now leading Trump in the FiveThirtyEight polling average. North Carolina is a crucial swing state that Trump carried in 2016 and 2020, and seeing Harris up in this state should send alarm bells ringing for the Trump campaign. If Harris can flip North Carolina, it’s a sign that the map is expanding for Democrats in a way that should terrify Republicans.

So, what does all this mean? Well, Trump is clearly trying to downplay the results, sticking to his usual line of calling any negative news fake. But the numbers don’t lie. Kamala Harris is gaining momentum, and she’s not just picking up support in Democratic strongholds. The fact that she’s competitive, and even leading, in places like North Carolina shows she’s building a coalition that could deliver serious electoral damage to Trump in 2024.

Of course, we’ve seen Trump defy the odds before. Polls showed him trailing Hillary Clinton in 2016, and we all know how that turned out. But this isn’t 2016. Trump is now a known quantity, and Harris is tapping into a base of voters who are energized by her candidacy in a way that few anticipated.

Trump’s reaction to these polls may be to deny them, but for Harris, these results are a shot of adrenaline. She’s surging at just the right moment, with momentum building not just in blue states but in battlegrounds that could decide the election. And if these polls continue to hold—or even improve for Harris—Trump’s path back to the White House is looking rockier than ever.
