Donald Trump is in a tight race with presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden to win Texas, among other key states. Hence, the president ventured to the Lone Star state to visit Double Eagle Energy in the west Texas city of Midland. Trump looked disheveled and sweaty as he spoke about cutting regulations, simplifying permitting, and encouraging private investment in energy infrastructure. Trump lives for applause and adoration, but it wasn’t happening at his big event. Trump bizarrely lashed out at “radical left crazy Democrats” with sweat dripping down his face at one point. Trump was peak Trump on Wednesday, but his audience did not seem impressed.
Trump rambled on incessantly as he spoke of the military, which he claimed had to be “rebuilt,” then he gave a shout out to Senator Ted Cruz. Trump was holding a MAGA rally, and that’s what this president thrives on. Unfortunately for this president, though, the crowd seemed lackluster. Trump wasn’t getting the usual applause he gets, and we’re sure he longs for the days of the “lock her up” chants, but those days are gone. Now, Trump has to defeat Biden, and people aren’t buying his schtick any more.

Trump also brought up the suburbs again, giving a shout out to his white base.
“By the way, I just ended the rule on suburbs,” Trump insisted. “You know, the suburbs. People fight all of their lives to get into the suburbs and have a beautiful home. There will be no more low-income housing forced into the suburbs … so enjoy your life, ladies and gentlemen.”
That, too, wasn’t met with excitement, but just a spatter of applause. “It’s been hell for suburbia,” Trump said as he stood there with sweat still dripping down his face. Trump is making up a war with the suburbs that doesn’t exist. And Trump sucks as commander in chief since he surrendered to the coronavirus without putting up a fight. Trump is just a showman now in a 2020 circus.
