Trump Seems “Sedated” During Coronavirus Presser, Starts Briefing By Bragging About Taliban Deal

This was nothing but a ploy to be able to brag about himself!

As we speak, Donald Trump is supposed to be holding his second press briefing on the dealy coronavirus that’s raging around the world, taking lives in its wake, now that the first American citizen has passed away as a result of the illness in Washington state.

However, as it turns out, this press conference is unsurprisingly a whole hell of a lot less about the novel virus that’s threatening the lives of millions around the globe and a whole lot more about Donald Trump’s self-perceived “accomplishments” surrounding the Taliban.

Trump utilized the first several minutes of his presser not speaking on the life lost in the United States as a result of COVID-19, the thousands lost around the world, nor the millions more at risk of meeting the same fate, but instead bragging on his recent decision to pull US troops from Afghanistan.

Seriously, he didn’t even make a simple mention of the virus in his opening statement. The man literally went straight to patting himself and his underlings on the back.

“I guess most of all I want to thank the people of the United States for having spent so much in terms of blood, in terms of treasure, and treasury,” a rather sedated-looking Trump began. “The money that has been spent, the lives that have been lost.”

He spent the next several minutes diving deeper into his less-than-humble brag, even patting himself on the back for visiting wounded troops at Walter Reed (because God knows he’s not actually going there for his own physical) and claiming that the servicemembers always tell him that, despite their wounds, they want to go back — all while looking as though he hasn’t slept in a week or better.

He finally spoke on the novel virus for no more than a handful of minutes before handing the podium over to his new COVID-19 czar, Vice President turned coronavirus scapegoat, Mike Pence.

Honestly, it looked as though he didn’t have the physical ability to even stand up there and speak very much longer if he wanted to, something Twitter users were quick to notice:

Frankly, it’s fairly evident that Donald didn’t hold this presser in an effort to educate the public or even express his condolences for a life lost. He held it as an opportunity to brag on himself while he’s still awake enough to do it and he knew no one would pay attention if he told the truth about his intentions.
