Trump Should Be Panicked As Legal Expert Says There Are At Least 2 Crimes DOJ Can “Prove Simply” If J6 Investigators Make Criminal Referral Against The Ex-President

Trump is in very big trouble.

Just recently, we reported on the bombshell news directly from January 6th House Select Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, who officially announced to the nation that the panel that has been engaged in an ongoing investigation into the J6 Capitol insurrection WILL” make formal criminal referrals to the United States Department of Justice in the probe.

“We have made decisions on criminal referrals,” Thompson said this week. When further pressed as to whether or not the House Select Committee will be making any such referrals, Thompson answered and confirmed, “We will.”

In the direct aftermath of this explosive development in the long-running case and investigation, legal experts are now weighing in, saying that it’s nearly impossible for Donald Trump to not be the target of one of those referrals to the DOJ.

As it stands, the House Select Committee has yet to publicly confirm the identity of any of the individuals who will be criminally referred to the Justice Department, nor have they even confirmed how many individuals, altogether, will see themselves on the list that’s headed to the DOJ for legal repercussions for their actions and crimes. However, former U.S. attorney Barbara McQuade made an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe today, where she said it’s all but unavoidable for former President Donald Trump’s name to be included on that list, as she expects the January 6th panel of investigators to refer the scandal-ridden former guy for prosecution by the Justice Department on at least two crimes.

“It’s hard to imagine that list will not include Donald Trump,” McQuade said. “We heard [Rep.] Liz Cheney give a summation where she talked about evidence that Donald Trump and others in his close associates engaged in conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstruction of an official proceeding. Even if they don’t have evidence that connects Donald Trump to the actual physical attack on the Capitol, those two crimes can be proved simply by the pressure applied on Mike Pence to try to delay and subvert the counting of the election on Jan. 6.”

“I’d be really surprised if his name is not on the list,” she went on to add. “It would also include others assisting in that plot, like John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark, but, of course, remains to be seen. Now it’s largely symbolic. The Justice Department will do what it wants to do, but I think it’s important that symbolically this committee does give that referral to send the message to the country that this is what we found, and I think that’s important for accountability purposes.”

To be entirely frank, I truly believe it’s only a matter of time for Donald Trump now.
