Eight Truth Social posts in fifty minutes sounds excessive until you check the record book.
Back in January, jet-lagged off a flight home from Davos, Trump managed more than 70 posts in a single 50-minute stretch, which puts Monday’s overnight run closer to a warm-up than a meltdown.
Sunday had already given him plenty to stay up thinking about. Trump spent it trackside at the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix, the IndyCar race he personally ordered up for the country’s 250th anniversary, with Melania Trump and executive assistant Natalie Harp both nearby. By 12:30 the next morning, he was posting again, and kept going until 1:20, working through eight posts touching the Iran war, the midterms, sanctuary cities, and what one outlet described as loose ramblings about “Western civilization.”
Among those eight, one included an image that outlasted the rest of the batch. It showed an AI-generated George Washington scowling behind a podium, captioned “WE FOUGHT A REVOLUTION AND WORKED TO GIVE YOU PEOPLE FREEDOM,” followed by a line widely read as a jab at Democrats: “DON’T SIT BACK AND GIVE IT AWAY TO TERRORISTS POSING AS A POLITICAL PARTY.”

CNN’s Alayna Treene has reported that multiple officials describe a setup where Trump dictates his thoughts aloud and staff transcribe them directly onto the account, with posts he writes personally often signed “DJT” to mark the difference.

Natalie Harp handles a share of that work, something captured on camera in the 2024 Fox Nation docuseries Art of the Surge.
In one scene, Trump watches Kamala Harris deliver her DNC speech and dictates his reaction to Harp as she types. “She’s talking about great San Francisco was before she destroyed it,” he tells her, then adds: “A lot of talk about childhood, we’ve got to get to the border, inflation and crime.” Both lines landed as separate posts within minutes of each other.
That same closeness has made Harp’s own dedication to the job a story in its own right.
The Daily Beast published two of her personal letters to Trump this week, including one written during a 2023 overseas golf trip that ends, “You are all that matters to me,” thanking him for being her “Guardian and Protector in this Life.” The same letter described losing track of basic needs entirely while traveling with him. “I want things to always be right between us,” she wrote. “I also know I’ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time).”
