Former President Donald Trump and former first lady Melania Trump said in late March that they received coronavirus vaccinations in January at the White House. While elected officials and TV show hosts have posted photos of themselves getting vaccinated, the former president kept it a secret instead of encouraging his base to get the shot. A recent poll revealed that 49% of Republican men say they won’t get the shot amid the pandemic that’s taken over 572,000 American lives.
Ivanka Trump took to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to announce that she got the Covid-19 shot and encouraged others to do so as well, but that didn’t go down well with the former president’s anti-vax supporters.
MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle posted some of the responses from Instagram on Twitter.
. @IvankaTrump posted herself getting vaccinated on instagram & encouraged others to do so.
The comments are astonishing:
– HARD NO
– PASS
– HELL NO
– WHY?
– THAT IS DISAPPOINTING
– DON’T NEED, I HAVE AN IMMUNE SYSTEM

Ivanka’s post on Instagram wasn’t well received.
“No thanks! With a 99% survival rate, I shall pass. With Bill Gates involved I will not get one,” said a user Rice448. “Hell no. Why would you post this?” asked kenny_vv. “Nope not putting that in my body,” call_me_g95 posted.
Another Instagram user accused Ivanka of “virtue signaling.”
“Bummer. I was hoping you were above this kind of virtue signalling,” Instagram user rmgvd wrote.
“Wow that’s extremely disappointing, but honestly I’m not surprised,” heather_15la posted.
“Nope and please stop trying to manipulate us into doing so. It’s surprising to see you doing this now like the left and Hollywood have been,” the__real__american wrote.
On Facebook, one user wrote, “No…not playing lab rat for BIG PHARMA. Experimental Gene Therapy DNA Modifying RNA Biologic Agent, NOT A CHANCE!!!”
Even though Donald Trump got the vaccine and his wifebot, Melania, both of whom contracted COVID-19 last year, the former president’s supporters are still refusing to get the shot. That’s probably because he was late in the game to announce that he had been vaccinated — And so is Ivanka. But, at least, she’s encouraging others to follow through with getting the vaccine. I’ll give her that. It’s kind of late, but OK.
