The irony doesn’t get any more delicious than this, y’all.
Last night, the bombshell news broke from CNN that agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant raid on ex-President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home/resort in Palm Beach, Florida, last night.
The raid was confirmed by Trump himself in a statement that was delivered to CNN following the news, as well as in a statement through his Save America PAC that was posted across social media.
But man, does it get juicier?

In the most ridiculous twist of irony you’ve probably ever seen, FL Republican House Rep. Matt Gaetz is big mad about the FBI raid at his Dear Leader’s Palm Beach complex. So mad, in fact, that he apparently wants to… Defund the police.
Or, at least, the ones that are coming after Daddy Trump.
Matt aired out his grievances during an interview he sat down for with staunch Trump ally and conservative podcaster Steve Bannon, where the Republican lawmaker compared the FBI to East German Stasi officers.
“They just wanted to storm the place like the East German Stasi,” Gaetz raged. “This is in my opinion the most defining moment of the Joe Biden presidency. Before this, it would have been Afghanistan.”
Matt went on to suggest that President Biden was the driving force behind the search warrant raid, which went down right after Democrats “got their polling back” on the Inflation Reduction Act.
“At the same time, they see that we are closing in on Hunter Biden,” Matt fumed. “We’re going to be able to pull those investigative threads with subpoena power.”
At this point, the congressman went on to seemingly threaten the concept of defunding Justice Department law enforcement, raging, “So if that’s the diagnosis, my assessment that the antidote has to be not one more damn penny for this administrative state that has been weaponized against our people in a very fascist way. They want to ensure that they centralize their power and so it’s my perspective that, you know, if they want to limit the choices of voters with this performative activity then we ought to limit the resources that they have to be able to execute on it.”
I guess they only want police to be funded when they’re shooting Black kids, right?
