Trump Took A Dig At Dr. Fauci Regarding His Senate Testimony, Said Fauci’s Response Is “Not An Acceptable Answer”

Gee, who should we believe, the nation's top infectious diseases expert or this dummy?

Narcissistic rage-machine Donald Trump does not take advice from the experts in his orbit, and that’s because the president thinks he knows everything. Trump knows so much that he tossed out the Obama administration’s playbook on how to deal with a pandemic, then COVID-19 hit, and close to eighty-five thousand Americans are dead.

Trump on Wednesday criticized comments that Dr. Anthony Fauci — our nation’s top infectious diseases expert — made during a Tuesday congressional hearing about the risks of reopening the country too soon as “not an acceptable answer.” Fauci warned of the dangers of reopening the country too quickly, and Trump said,  “I was surprised by his answer, actually, because it’s just– To me, it’s not an acceptable answer, especially when it comes to schools.”

“This is a disease that attacks age. It attacks health,” Trump added.

Watch:

Fauci warned on Tuesday of the serious consequences if governors reopen state economies too soon.

“My concern, that if some areas, city, states or what have you jump over those various checkpoints and prematurely open up without having the capability of being able to respond effectively and efficiently, my concern is that we will start to see little spikes that might turn into outbreaks,” Dr. Fauci said.

“The idea of having treatments available to facilitate students coming back to school in the fall term is a bit of a bridge too far,” he added.

Well, I’m not a stable genius, but opening schools would likely add to Trump’s death count, and schoolchildren do come back home and could spread the virus to their parents and their MeeMaw. Also, I’m not sure how it’s feasible for educators to teach children while practicing social distancing.

It seems like all the Republicans justifying reopening schools by saying children are safe from the virus forget that there are adults in the buildings too.

Republicans have gone from throwing seniors in the morgue to save Wall Street to risking children’s lives to make Trump’s apocalyptic economy appear to be in better shape ahead of the 2020 presidential election. Trump once again displayed his lack of empathy for others amid the national crisis.
