Trump Went On A Massive, Unhinged Late-Night Posting Spree

Even by Trump standards, the president went especially crazy on Truth Social overnight.

President Donald Trump, whether on Twitter/X or Truth Social, has long been prone to lengthy social media posting sprees, sometimes in the middle of the night. But he outdid himself on Monday night.

According to The Daily Beast, Trump posted an average of “once a minute” in an “unhinged spree,” that began at about 7 p.m. Eastern time and continued through midnight. And the president was right back to posting in the morning.

“The 79-year-old spent Monday evening posting almost non-stop on his social media account, including regularly doubling up through what seemed to be an automatic quote-tweet of the post that immediately preceded the last, clogging his feed,” the Beast said.

Among those whose content he shared was longtime conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who had posted a baseless conspiracy theory, pushed by former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, that Michelle Obama had gotten access to former President Biden’s autopen during his presidency.

Trump also went after various enemies, whom the Beast listed as “California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, former FBI chief James Comey, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff.” And he called for the release of Tina Peters, an election conspiracy theorist who was convicted in Colorado last year of interfering with voting machine data in 2020.

The president also took the time to post a clip of his own cameo appearance in the 1992 film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, with the notation “Christmas is officially GREAT again.”

Trump also reposted a strange video from someone called “Paul White Gold Eagle,” claiming that Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro had “surrendered to President Trump” and that the Venezuelan leader had “turned in state’s evidence” against the Biden Administration. No reporting has indicated anything close to that has actually happened.

He followed that up, Tuesday morning, by posting “TRUTH SOCIAL IS THE BEST! There is nothing even close!!!”

The frequent double posts, as well as repeated ads, make for a not-so-user-friendly experience on the Truth Social site.
