As if he hasn’t been embroiled in enough scandal to last a lifetime as it is, Dr. Ronny Jackson, former White House physician turned Republican Congressman — the same guy who infamously claimed Donald Trump could live to be 200, said the ex-president has incredible genes, and has regularly tried to question and criticize Joe Biden’s mental and physical health — has now found himself the subject of a brutal House ethics investigation by the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE).

Jackson, who left his life as a White House physician behind and now serves as a Texas Republican lawmaker, was already the center of an absolutely damning inspector general’s report not too long ago. That investigation determined that, in his capacity as Physician to the President, Jackson regularly consumed alcohol, “engaged in inappropriate conduct involving the use of alcohol,” took prescription drugs that raised “concerns about his potential incapacity to provide proper medical care during [official] travel,” and even “made sexual and denigrating statements” about a woman who was his subordinate.

Jackson’s behavior was so bad that it earned him the nickname “Candy Man” during his time as a presidential physician, due to his overt willingness and habit to pass out prescription controlled substances.

According to a report from The Hill, “a spokesperson for Jackson said that the [ethics] review concerns his campaign finance activities.”

“The Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) is a partisan group known for pursuing frivolous witch-hunts,” Jackson’s spokesperson claimed. “Despite this, Congressman Jackson cooperated fully with OCE by providing detailed explanations regarding questions they had about his campaign finance report.”

Jackson has, of course, made an infamous name for himself since President Biden’s election win and subsequent inauguration, by using his capacity as a physician to regularly call into question Joe Biden’s mental and physical health and capacity — despite, like all Republicans, being unable to provide any proof or evidence to back up his unethical claims.
