It’s become strikingly clear that absolutely no one is safe from the House Select Committee that’s currently investigating the infamous January 6th Capitol riot, as the panel rapidly increases their efforts to bring down as much corruption and treason against this nation as they can before the upcoming midterms, in which they may lose their majority and their committee will be destroyed.
As such, in recent weeks they’ve wasted no time in hauling in all of the possible co-conspirators and insiders who may have been involved directly or in the planning leading up to the fateful Capitol siege.
House Committee Chair, Mississippi Democrat Bennie Thompson, has regularly attempted to get as many voluntary testimonies as he can. I can’t imagine anyone just wants to go through all the trouble and paperwork of a subpoena. But in the same turn, he’s made it very clear that’s exactly what he and his fellow committee members will do if necessary.
And now it seems some of Donald Trump’s most notable allies are finding that out the hard way.

According to a breaking new report from CNN, the House Select Committee has officially issued a subpoena for quite a few notable names that were involved in Donald Trump’s Willard Hotel “Command Center” just ahead of the violent January 6th Capitol attack — including former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, attornies Jenna Ellis and Sidney Powell who regularly pushed Trump’s insane and unfounded election conspiracies, and former Trump campaign adviser Boris Epshteyn, who personally worked alongside Giuliani in the hotel “War Room.”
Congressional reporter Hugo Lowell also confirmed the breaking development on Twitter:

In a statement following the news today, Committee Chair Bennie Thompson said:
The four individuals we’ve subpoenaed today advanced unsupported theories about election fraud, pushed efforts to overturn the election results, or were in direct contact with the former President about attempts to stop the counting of electoral votes.”
CNN reports that investigators have been questioning witnesses for some time now regarding the Giuliani and Powell and other “War Room” participants, but have apparently reached a point where they’re ready to hear the stories from the proverbial horses’ mouths.
