Donald Trump has spent this entire week whining and crying and raging about the marginal possibility that he may not be permitted to attend his youngest son Barron’s high school graduation next month because he is required to be physically present in the Manhattan courtroom where he is on trial for 35 felony counts related to illegal campaign finances and falsifying business records, all connected to hush money payments that were made to two women during the 2016 election cycle in an effort to buy their silences about Donald’s alleged extramarital affairs with them and protect the presidential campaign that he would go on to win.
New York State Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan has yet to finalize a decision on the matter of Barron’s impending graduation, noting that the decision will have to be made closer to the May 17th date, when Merchan is able to determine the schedule of the trial and where things stand at that time.
Nevertheless, the scandal-plagued former president is making a massive mountain out of this molehill, taking to his Truth Social platform earlier this week, writing that it was “very unfair” that Merchan was “preventing me from proudly attending my son’s Graduation,” asking “who will explain” to his 18-year-old son “that his Dad will likely not be allowed to attend his Graduation Ceremony.”
In the midst of all of Trump’s whining, his now-infamous former personal attorney and self-described “fixer” Michael Cohen sat for an interview with the Political Beatdown podcast of Ben Meiselas, co-founder of liberal anti-Trump group MeidasTouch, where he heavily implied that not only is Donald’s upset over possibly missing Barron’s graduation ceremony little more than a publicity put-on but that Trump’s wife Melania is actually likely thrilled at the prospect of her husband missing out.

Cohen, who was actually jailed over in involvement in the hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels (whose real name is Stephanie Clifford) said he couldn’t recall the former president going to any of his children’s graduation ceremonies, leaving the former Trump attorney rather skeptical of Donald’s claims that Barron’s ceremony is suddenly so important to him.
Cohen noted that he “wasn’t aware that [Trump] went to any of the kids’ graduations,” before going on to claim that Donald has never shown any interest in Barron’s schooling and education. Rather, he and Melania worked together when it came to those types of decisions, such as the private schools Barron would attend in both Manhattan and Washington, D.C.
“I find it not just comical … I find it insulting that [missing Barron’s graduation is] the big issue,” the former Trump “fixer” said. “I missed my 25th anniversary and my wife’s 50th birthday because I was in Otisville [federal prison], in part because of things that I had done at the direction of and for the benefit of Donald Trump.”
He then went on to add that while Donald is raising hell, he believes his wife Melania is actually overjoyed at the idea of Trump skipping out on Barron’s graduation ceremony.
“I’m sure Melania is extremely excited he’s not gonna be there,” Cohen suggested. “Rest assured, I’m not losing any sleep, nor am I going to shed a tear that Trump can’t go to Barron’s graduation.”
The topic of Trump’s third and current marriage has been the epicenter of a lot of questions, theories, and speculations as of late — due in large part to Melania’s marked absence from her husband’s campaign trail this go around. In fact, the critics have gotten so intense that Donald recently posted a bizarre video montage to his wife on his Truth Social platform.
