Regardless of Donald Trump’s attempts to downplay the potentially fatal coronavirus, and even though the president held a CEO infomercial on Friday that was the likely cause of the Dow seeing a positive note in these dire times, it would help to ease the public’s concerns if the former frozen steak salesman would be tested for COVID-19. Trump has been shaking hands with individuals at Mar-a-Lago as if he’s raw dogging a porn star, and you know he’s into that shit. Trump is an admittedly grabby kind of guy, after all.
Trump — a noted germophobe — who has been in close proximity to individuals who have tested positive for the virus, has thus far declined to be tested. Then, although even the president and Princess Ivanka have been shaking hands (don’t do that, OK?) with people who are infected with the coronavirus, Trump will not be tested, his physician states.
“The President’s exposure to the first individual was extremely limited (photograph, handshake), and though he spent more time in close proximity to the second case, all interactions occurred before any symptom onset,” Sean Conley wrote. “These interactions would be categorized as LOW risk for transmission per CDC guidelines, and as such, there is no indication for home quarantine at this time.”
“Additionally, given the president himself remains without symptoms, testing for COVID-19 is not currently indicated,” Conley continued and added that he would continue to closely monitor Trump.
