Donald Trump has yet to fully and officially commit to a 2024 presidential run — a scheme that’s frankly most likely due to efforts to skirt campaign finance laws for as long as humanly possible.
But that certainly doesn’t stop him from acting like he’s already running for president.
Last night, the scandal-ridden president held a “Save America” rally in Wisconsin, where he laid on the not-campaign promises as thick as ever — complete with a solemn vow to return to “our magnificent White House,” according to reporting on the fiasco from Business Insider.
“We are going to take back our magnificent White House, we’re going to take it back,” Donald Trump vowed from the stage as his devout supporters cheered.

Trump has been holding these unhinged rallies with no real clear purpose since pretty much the moment he lost his 2020 presidential bid to Joe Biden. It’s pretty easy to deduce that the former guy is simply attempting to keep his popularity high among the Conservative crowd and likely hopes to maintain his momentum for his 2024 bid that we all know is coming sooner or later.
It’s certainly no surprise that Trump spent last night’s event launching his typical nasty attacks against President Biden and his policies, but this time, they seemed to be wrapped in campaign promise-style packaging.
“We will shut down Biden’s border disaster, reinstitute our strong remain in Mexico policy, strengthen the patriots of ICE and border control,” the former guy declared from the stage.
“We will again end catch and release, one of the dumbest programs ever,” Trump continued. “We will end chain migration. We will end the visa lottery and we will clamp down on illegal immigration just like we did less than two years ago.”
“We will stop the crime wave in Democrat-run cities, we will give our police the power they need and the respect they deserve and we will not take immunity protection away from our police,” he continued to rant.
“We will restore law and order in America. We will hold China accountable for unleashing the virus upon the world. We will protect innocent life. We will defend our constitution. We will defend our totally under siege Second Amendment.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time Trump has promised his supporters he would make a White House comeback in the next election. Back in March, during an American Freedom Tour event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the one-term, twice-impeached former guy told his adoring fans, “With the support of everyone in this room, we will take back the House, we will take back the Senate and we will take back our country, and then most importantly in 2024, we are going to take back our beautiful White House.”
